General Concepts

The station configuration is defined in an XML document called a plan. A plan contains zero or more entries. Each entry defines deployment objective such as the deployment of a component part into the station JVM or an application under a seperate jvm managed by the station.

1. A plan is a uri resolvable artifact that defines the station configuration.
2. A commandline tool provides support for the startup and shutdown of the station.
3. An SCM controller is provider for the deployment of the station as a Windows NT Service.
